![]() I purchased mine new with the comfort entry as part of my build. I’ll update this once I get a response from Porsche Uk. I bough the car from a dealership not a manufacturer. This is the issue we will see more of in the future with manufactures adding and removing functions based on software. In my case as is included comfort access. If we go down the food chain of car sales and I buy I shit box for £1000 I don’t get a spec sheet of what is and isn’t included in the purchase. The car was provided with the function and that’s what I bought. The fact that the function isn’t specified doesn’t matter. However, my point if that I purchased it as is from the dealer. It seems that at some point between the car being built and me purchasing the car comfort access was accidentally added to the car in a software update. The dealer provided the spec but it did not include comfort access however, when I used the car I discovered that it did have this function. I purchased used from a Porsche Dealership. My argument will be that it had the function when I bought the car, therefore, that’s part of the car I purchased, regardless of what the factory spec / software was originally.Īnyone else had this issue and if so what was the outcome? ![]() I’ve asked the dealer to forward the email to myself. So, because they have had to provide a software update to correct another issue I’m now without a function that I already had or have to pay c£350 to get it back.Īs I said, I purchased the car used and it had this function when I bought it. They will pay a third, dealer pays a third and customer, me, pays a third. Porsche UK proposes the following solution. The car was accidentally supplied with comfort access and this gas now been removed as the recent software update has reset the car to the original factory specification. I called the dealership today and have been informed of the following. They also thought it was a setting but couldn’t identify it. Having looked at all menu options I asked the dealership to investigate (while they were replacing the heater, yet another issue). At first I thought this was a settings issue. When the car was returned comfort access wasn’t enabled. It recently went in for a major software update. I have a 2020 Turbo S purchased used in 2021. Has anyone else suffered the loss of comfort access after the recent major software update?
